South Waikato has a hospital in Tokoroa that provides full maternity and medical services. There are also healthcare centres in Putaruru and Tokoroa to register with a General Practitioner (GP).

Raukawa, the local iwi, and South Waikato Pacific Islands Community Services Trust (SWPICS) provide culturally based nursing care in conjunction with the local GPs and the hospital. There are also transport services available to the hospital for elderly members of the community.
